Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a licensed millwright; however, if no licensed candidates are available, qualified apprentices will be considered.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance and repair of fixed equipment such as compressors, pumps, conveyors, fans, hydraulics, pneumatics, crushers and piping.
  • Mechanical installations and troubleshooting of maintenance systems.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Working with maintenance programs, computer maintenance management systems and maintenance practices/procedures.
  • Working safely in confined spaces, at heights and near open holes.
Qualifications
  • Red Seal Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certification (433A); in the absence of licensed millwrights, qualified apprentices may be considered.
  • An all-position CWB welding certification or the ability to be trained.
  • Minimum 2 years experience.
  • Complete or have recently completed CAAT and DAT testing in a satisfactory manner.

This is a permanent full-time position and is part of a collective bargaining unit. Some overtime and response to emergency callouts is required.

As this position is in a safety-sensitive environment, final candidates must successfully complete Drug & Alcohol testing as part of our pre-employment process.
