Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

As a Civil Operator within the fixed plant environment, you'll be at the heart of site operations, mastering the use of graders, excavators, skid steers, wheel loaders, and tipper trucks. You'll keep our site running smoothly with safety checks, routine maintenance and proactive equipment care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy machinery for excavation and material handling.
  • Conduct prestart inspections and ensure regular equipment servicing.
  • Assist in civil infrastructure maintenance and construction tasks.
  • Identify and assess on-site hazards, implementing safety measures.
  • Troubleshoot and report machinery issues for timely repairs.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and team members for effective coordination.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Australian HR Driver’s License.
  • Experience operating graders, excavators, skid steers, wheel loaders, and/or tipper trucks.
  • Experience in civil infrastructure maintenance and construction.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and risk assessment processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude for identifying and troubleshooting machinery issues.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Strong team player with effective collaboration abilities.
