Job summary

Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Project Engineer to support the design and construction of fish passage projects from our Halifax, Nova Scotia office. This role requires a Licensed Professional Engineer (or commitment to becoming one) with a BEng and a minimum of 6 years' experience in fisheries engineering or related fields.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, apply structural and hydraulic analysis, and use Revit, MEP or AutoCAD for design

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (or commitment to becoming one)
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in fisheries engineering or closely related field
• Experience designing structural components and/or hydraulic analysis is a plus

Responsibilities

• Serve as a foundational member on multi-disciplinary teams for fish passage projects
• Perform structural design and/or hydraulic analysis in collaboration with other disciplines
• Collaborate with regulators and biologists to solve complex engineering challenges
