Job Title: First Cook

Seasonal role for Spring/Summer 2026, full time, location Jasper, AB.

Salary

$21.50 an hour.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Prepare, season and cook foods such as soups, salads, meat, fish, gravies, vegetables, desserts, sauces and casseroles.
  • Clean and cut vegetables, meats, fish and poultry.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, equipment and storage.
  • Carve meats, prepare portions and garnish servings.
  • Prepare items for buffets and special dietary dishes.
  • Stock and maintain product levels as directed.
  • Serve on cafeteria line as required.
  • Perform dishwashing and garbage recycling sorting duties.
  • Uphold high environmental stewardship and keep safe work environment.
  • Communicate observations to co-workers and management.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous cooking experience.
  • Completion of a culinary certificate or work experience; an asset.
  • Mature, energetic, dependable and self‑motivated.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with calm demeanor during high volume periods.
  • Food Safe required.
  • Comfortable working on feet for extended periods in indoor/outdoor and all weather conditions.
