Job description

What You’ll Do

• Participate in the design and development of the company's next‑generation products.
• Develop core DVR engine software that includes program guide ingest and scheduling of recordings and video streams.
• Enhance existing applications and tools.
• Develop APIs to communicate with client applications running on Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, and others.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful integration of firmware components.
• Troubleshoot and debug firmware‑related issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the company's firmware development processes.

What You’ll Need

• BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent experience (3+ years).

What You’ll Bring

• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with SQLite.
• Familiarity with JSON, REST, and websockets/lighttpd.
• Knowledge of open‑source build systems (e.g., Yocto, Buildroot).
• Experience with concurrency and multithreading.
• Familiarity with TV and video recording concepts, including ATSC1.0 and ATSC3.0.
• Experience with home networking and media streaming devices.
• Knowledge of over‑the‑air broadcasting.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
