A regional government agency in Port Alberni is looking for a FireSmart Project Coordinator to lead initiatives and coordinate programs aimed at community preparedness. The role requires strong leadership, public speaking, and collaborative skills. This full-time position offers a wage of $50.31 per hour with benefits, based on a 35-hour workweek.
Full Time – 2 Year Grant Funded position
The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District is seeking a FireSmart Project Coordinator to take a leadership role in implementing FireSmart initiatives and coordinating the FireSmart program across the region. The FireSmart Project Coordinator supports community preparedness through education, outreach, presentations, and events while working collaboratively with all employees of the ACRD, other local governments, provincial agencies, First Nations, and Fire Departments. This position will be occasionally required to work outside of regular work hours including evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of CUPE Local 118 (Alberni-Clayoquot Unit). The rate of pay will be $50.31 (2025 rates) per hour plus benefits based on a 35‑hour workweek.
