Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks an experienced fire protection engineer to join our Buildings team in Quebec.

You will contribute to design and implementation of fire-protection systems on diverse projects across Quebec and Canada, collaborating with internal teams and external clients. The role requires a college diploma in mechanical engineering or related training, plus 7 years in fire protection and knowledge of NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• NFPA standards knowledge.
• HydraCalc software knowledge.
• Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations.
• Good understanding of fire safety engineering principles.
• English language skills are an asset for collaboration.

Your opportunity

Make a difference by joining our team of fire protection and building mechanics experts at our offices in Longueuil, Montreal, Quebec City, or Laval. You will be a key player in our great team and will participate in the design and implementation of various projects throughout Quebec, across the country, and even overseas, in institutional, industrial, and commercial settings for local and/or international clients. Major building projects are on the rise in Quebec. We work in a professional and collaborative environment where we do everything we can to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems. Your background

• College diploma in mechanical engineering or other relevant training;

• 7 years of experience in fire protection;

• Knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards;

• Knowledge of HydraCalc software;

• Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations;

• Good understanding of fire safety engineering principles;

• ASP construction card (an asset);

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills;

• Knowledge of English is an asset in order to facilitate collaboration with our internal teams outside Quebec or with clients.
