A local mining company in Northwestern Ontario is seeking an entry-level Fire Assay Technician. This role involves operating under supervision, performing various Fire Assay techniques, and maintaining safety protocols. Ideal candidates should have a High School Diploma and be able to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment. Competitive wages and a rotational 4 on/4 off schedule are offered.
Our Thunder Bay location is hiring a Fire Assay Technician to work 12-hour shifts on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule, with shifts during the day or night. The schedule will be from 8 AM to 8 PM or 8 PM to 8 AM.
This is an entry-level position, with work directed by the shift Team Lead. The Fire Assay Technician works under supervision in the Fire Assay area and is responsible for maintaining tools and instruments used in the operation.

This role involves standing, sitting, and lifting in an industrial environment. Manual dexterity is needed for repetitive tasks. PPE is required. The position involves working near fusion furnaces in hot environments under pressure with tight deadlines.
PLEASE NOTE : Periodic blood testing for lead exposure is required.
