Job summary

A prominent firm in the region is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to be responsible for installation projects, inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, a Grade 12 Certificate, and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include preparing and verifying new systems and performing inspections. This position requires a clean driver's abstract and self-motivation with a focus on excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Fire Alarm installations.
  • Graduation from a recognized Electronics Program is an asset.
  • Must have a clean criminal record and a valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation, assembly, programming set-up and verification of new fire alarm systems.
  • Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing Fire Alarm systems.
  • Preparation of thorough reports and inspection documentation.

Chandler –Alarm and Communications is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician who is responsible for installation projects, inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting of fire alarms systems.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Fire Alarm installations;
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Graduation from a recognized Electronics Program is considered an asset
  • Relevant industry experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, holidays and emergency situations
  • Working at heights and with ladders
  • Ability to travel to other areas of the region when required (not frequent)
  • Satisfactory Criminal Background check
  • Must have a clean criminal record, and a valid Driver's license.
Responsibilities
  • Preparation, assembly, programming set-up and verification of new fire alarm systems
  • Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing Fire Alarm systems
  • Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537
  • CFAA certified would be an asset but not necessary
  • Capable of preparing thorough reports and inspection documentation
  • Experience in programming fire panels.
  • Knowledge of various fire systems;
  • Use of specialized test tools.
  • Comfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, as well as to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on excellent customer service.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with Special Hazards Suppression System would be an asset.
