Job Title: Finishing Superintendent – High-Rise Residential

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 DOE + Benefits

About the Opportunity

Skyline Recruitment is working with an established construction company in British Columbia that is looking to add an experienced Finishing Superintendent to its site team for a high-rise residential project in Richmond.

This is an opportunity for someone with strong high-rise finishing experience to take ownership of the finishing stages of a major residential development and work closely with the wider site and project management team through completion, deficiencies and turnover.

The key requirement for this position is genuine high-rise residential finishing experience.

We are looking for someone who understands the finishing process within concrete residential towers and has experience coordinating multiple trades, maintaining quality standards, managing deficiencies and driving suites through to occupancy.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You will take responsibility for the finishing stages of the project, coordinating trades and ensuring quality, schedule and site standards are maintained throughout the final phases of construction.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing the finishing stages of a high-rise residential project


• Coordinating finishing trades across suites, common areas and amenity spaces


• Managing sequencing and ensuring trades are completing work in line with the construction schedule


• Monitoring quality and ensuring workmanship meets project standards


• Managing deficiencies and coordinating repairs and close-out work
  
• Conducting suite inspections and preparing units for turnover


• Working closely with the Site Superintendent, Project Manager and wider project team


• Coordinating inspections, occupancy requirements and final completion activities


• Identifying potential delays or quality issues before they impact the overall schedule


• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and ensuring trades remain accountable


• Ensuring site safety requirements and company standards are maintained


• Supporting successful occupancy, turnover and project close-out

What We’re Looking For

The most important requirement for this position is proven high-rise residential finishing experience.

You should have:

• Previous experience as a Finishing Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent within high-rise residential construction


• Strong experience working on concrete residential towers


• Proven experience managing the finishing stages of multi-family residential projects


• Strong understanding of interior finishes, drywall, flooring, millwork, painting, fixtures and final installations


• Experience coordinating multiple finishing trades and managing sequencing


• Strong deficiency management and quality control experience


• Experience working through occupancy and turnover is strongly preferred


• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications


• Strong organisational and communication skills


• Ability to manage subcontractors and hold trades accountable to schedule and quality expectations


• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues before they become larger problems


• Experience with construction management software such as Procore is an asset
