Finishing Labourer, Building Construction

Description

Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality work? Ledcor Construction is looking for a motivated and reliable Labourer to join our Building Services Team in Vancouver.

In this role, you’ll take on a variety of restoration, repair, and finishing tasks in both residential and commercial settings. Working under the direction of the Foreperson, you’ll collaborate with your teammates to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform general labour and repair duties
  • Sink, bathtub, countertop, and cabinet repairs
  • Flooring, tile, drywall, and paint touch-ups
  • Wall and doorway repair
  • Deficiency walk-throughs and reporting
  • Damage prevention and site maintenance
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment for the crew, public, and client
Qualifications
  • 1 - 3+ years of experience in residential or commercial restoration or renovation projects
  • Applicants with experience in stainless steel renewal, stone restoration, weather protection, glass scratch restoration, window sealing & mullion repair will be given preference
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Technically adept with strong problem-solving and learning skills
Working Conditions
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 25 pounds), in confined spaces and in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
  • Intermediate First Aid and Transportation Endorsement, WHIMS, and Fall protection certification (completed or willingness to obtain)
  • Occasional travel required to site and/or other office locations
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements

Compensation

$24.45 - $31.83 per hour

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
