Job summary

A financial services company is seeking a Financial Reporting Consultant with expertise in IFRS and US GAAP for an 8-9 month engagement. Our client is looking to add to their team a Financial Reporting Consultant -- IFRS/US GAAP. If you are available and can commit to an 8-9 months engagement that is deep with financial accounting and reporting, please let us know.

As the Financial Reporting Consultant -- IFRS/US GAAP you will be responsible for:

  • Restate prior year statements from IFRS to US GAAP
  • Assisting the director / senior manager with financial reporting related tasks in relation to the conversion
  • Perform detailed reconciliations between IFRS and US GAAP accounting treatments to ensure accuracy in restated figures
  • Analyze historical data and transactions to identify necessary adjustments in accordance with US GAAP standards
  • Document all conversion adjustments and maintain thorough audit trails for transparency and compliance purposes

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications:

  • CPA designation
  • Big 4 firm experience
  • IFRS and mining industry knowledge is an asset
  • 3+ years of related work experience is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • SAP, OneStream and Workiva experience an asset
