Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Financial Advisor to manage and expand a client portfolio in Ottawa. You will deliver tailored financial plans, provide exceptional service, and connect with communities through outreach.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree/diploma and/or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Current accreditation and good standing as a Registered Representative (RR) with CIRO-ID.
  • PFP, CFP, or QAFP designation.
  • For Quebec: AMF licensing accreditation.
  • For Quebec: CIFC/CSC completion to support AMF licensing.
  • For Quebec: RRC designation.
  • Quebec assets: CIFC/CSI-ICB courses are assets.
  • Legal eligibility to work at the specified location(s).
  • Willingness to work banking centre hours, including evenings/weekends.
  • Flexibility to work at multiple banking centres within travel distance.

  • Work on-site full-time at CIBC banking centres.

Requirements

  • Current accreditation and good standing as a Registered Representative (RR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID)
  • Personal Financial Planner (PFP), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) designation
  • For Quebec: current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing
  • For Quebec: successful completion of Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) to support AMF licensing
  • For Quebec: Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC)
  • CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course - Quebec (0774) and CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790) are assets
  • Legal eligibility to work at the specified location(s)
  • Valid work or study permit where applicable
  • Willingness and flexibility to work banking centre hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Flexibility to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance
