Job summary

PwC Canada seeks a Financial Crime Analytics Associate within Advisory to protect client data and identify risk through analytical frameworks. You will support client assignments, build analytical frameworks, and translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

You will develop conclusions, write reports, assist in client presentations, and contribute to business development while maintaining strong client relationships and staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a similar quantitative field.
• Strong SQL, Python, and data mining/statistical software skills.
• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry and products.
• Understanding of risk management or compliance within Financial Services (AML preferred).
• Experience presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to recognize data patterns and identify solutions.
• Ability to clean, harmonize, and prepare data for reporting and analysis.
• Familiar with AML transaction monitoring and watchlist tools.
• Consulting experience and CAMS certification is an asset.
• Experience creating documentation and executive presentations and BI reports.

• Highly skilled and good working knowledge of SQL, Python, and other data mining/statisticalsoftwares
• BachelorsDegree(or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, ComputerScienceor similar quantitative field
• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry and financial products
• Understanding of risk management or compliance within Financial Services (preferably AMLor Financial Crimes)
• Experience presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to recognize data patterns, quantify potentialissuesandidentifysolutions.
• Ability to standardize, harmonize, clean, prepare and use data for developing datasets,reportingand analysis.
• Knowledge of cluster analysis and sampling methods.
• Experience building logistic regression models and performing sensitivity testing.
• Familiar with model performance and population stability monitoring.
• Familiarity with AML transaction monitoring, case management, and watchlistmonitoringtools, is an asset
• Consulting experience and CAMS certificationisan asset.
• Experience in creating documentation and executive presentation
• Experience in advanced analytics by providing business intelligence solution; data models and BI reports

The salary range for this position is $58,400 - $97,500. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
