The ideal candidate holds a CPA, a bachelor’s in accounting or business administration, and 5–8 years of manufacturing experience, with ASPE proficiency and ERP exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• CPA title is required.
• 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent knowledge of ASPE accounting standards for private companies.
• Experience in the agri-food sector with automated ERP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle and ensure reliability of financial information.
• Produce and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate audits and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and government agencies.
• Ensure cash flow, internal controls and financial compliance.

Job description

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager (DGM), the Financial Controller plays a key role in the financial management of the organization. The person in this role ensures the integrity of accounting operations across the different groups within the company, ensures the reliability of financial information and acts as a business partner with managers to support the company’s financial and operational performance. As part of the role, he/she will also actively participate in various strategic projects, including optimizing financial processes and implementing a new ERP system.

Responsibilites:

Financial Management and Compliance

• Oversee the full accounting cycle and ensure the reliability of the financial information
• Produce and analyze financial statements and management reports
• Coordinate audits, review funding records as well as maintain relationships with external parties (banks, auditors, government agencies)
• Ensure cash flow, internal controls, and financial compliance
• Support management in strategic matters and decision‑making

Cost Control and Analysis

• Develop financial management and performance analysis tools
• Analyze production costs, variances, and the profitability of products, clients, and divisions.
• Make recommendations aimed at improving profitability and operational efficiency.
• Participate in financial analyses related to investments and acquisitions.

Budgets and Forecasting

• Coordinate the annual budget process and financial forecast planning.
• Track results, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions

Team Management

• Manage, mobilize and develop the accounting team
• Promote a culture of collaboration, performance and continuous improvement

Strategic Projects

• Participate in implementing and optimizing financial systems, including a new ERP
• Support business projects that have a financial and accounting impact

Ideal Profile

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting / business administration
• CPA title
• 5 to 8 years of experience for a manufacturing company
• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards for private companies (ASPE)
• Experience in the agri-food sector in an automated (ERP) environment (an asset)
