About the Opportunity
- Monitor and review financial transactions to ensure compliance with applicable laws
- Conduct periodic internal audits and risk assessments on financial processes
- Ensure proper handling and reporting of contracts, trust funds, and other regulated financial instruments
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during reviews and inspections
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop and implement compliance procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial and regulatory changes
- Prepare and submit compliance reports and documentation to senior management
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance and financial policies
- Investigate any financial discrepancies or suspected breaches of compliance, and recommend corrective actions
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial compliance, or accounting, preferably in a regulated or nonprofit environment
- Familiarity with trust fund accounting, donor fund management, and nonprofit financial standards is a strong asset
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Salary Range
$25 - $27 an hour
