Overview

Our client is a Big-5 bank and looking to hire a Financial Analyst on their Product Control team for an initial 6-month contract. If you have a solid understanding of equity derivatives (swaps, options, etc.) and are looking for a role in one of Canada's premier Banks we have the role for you!

Role and Responsibilities

As the Financial Analyst, Product Control you will provide daily reporting to front office traders. This is a hands on role requiring suburb attention to detail and critical thinking. You will be supporting the front office with daily PnL Reporting.

The main responsibilities include the following:

  • Calculation and verification of PnL
  • Reconciling daily positions
  • IPV reporting and valuation adjustments
Location

The role is hybrid in office 2-3 days a week in Toronto

Qualifications
  • CPA or CFA or FRM designated or in progress
  • Technically savvy with MS Excel and VBA, Tableau and Alteryx
  • Solid derivatives experience
  • Cross functional collaboration with treasury, accounting, front office, market risk, etc.
  • Solid understanding of the Greeks and effect on PnL
