A leading recruitment agency in Canada seeks a Financial Analyst to conduct compliance reviews and provide financial expertise to stakeholders. This hybrid role involves planning, analyzing risks, and advising on operational governance. The successful candidate will adapt to various financial information systems and support decision-making processes across the Ministry. Flexible work is encouraged, with on-site attendance three days a week.
Financial Analyst is accountable for planning, conducting and reporting on compliance and assurance reviews for the Ministry. The position performs reviews to examine, evaluate and report on various aspects of risk management, internal controls and operational governance; and provides financial expertise and analysis, and reports on the findings.

The Financial Analyst will also serve as a resource that provides financial information and advice to various stakeholders in the Ministry and within the ministry program areas ( Expenditure Officers and program staff) who are responsible for financial processes and analysis ( expenditures).
The position will also assist stakeholders with decision making by providing financial analysis and business advice. The large number of different integrated management / financial information systems used across Ministry, and frequent upgrades and introduction of new systems contributes to the complexity. The position requires the ability to continuously learn, to utilize the knowledge gained, and to adapt to the changing environment the Analyst may find themselves working in.

1. The work model is Hybrid. The Awarded Resource is expected to be on site 3 days per week.
