This position is responsible for the Financial Accounting & Analysis in the Shawflex business segment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and entry of month end transactions into general ledger via journal vouchers.
Perform balance sheet analysis and assist Financial Controller in other month end closing processes.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Database by ensuring all items entered in the general ledger for additions and disposals are recorded on the perpetual ledger and maintaining the Fixed Assets Module in IFS.
Prepare and remit GST, HST, QST, and WSIB on a monthly basis.
Reconcile all bank accounts and all other balance sheet accounts (Sundry Receivable, Prepaid, Accrued Liabilities, etc.) on a monthly basis.
Prepare and review impact of foreign exchange on the translation of cash and intercompany accounts with Senior Financial Analyst (SFA).
Perform inter-company reconciliations and assist with coding of the invoices.
Perform upload of monthly financials into Onestream, LV7 (Consolidation Software) & SharePoint.
Preparation of periodical tax & insurance packages for submission to internal & external stakeholders.
Assist in extracting & providing data for quarterly & annual internal & external audits.
Investigate departmental financials at the request of users.
Assist Finance Controller/SFA with other ad-hoc accounting and data analytical requests.
Prepare & ensure appropriate process documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years experience in similar role within general accounting.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting - must.
CPA or currently in progress - preferred.
Previous experience in Manufacturing industry - preferred.
