Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing team in Canada. You will track real estate costs, develop business cases, and partner with Finance and Accounting on budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.

We value strong analytical skills, advanced Excel, and experience with Power BI. A bilingual French/English candidate is an asset, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI or BI tools is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Knowledge of Auto & Home insurance industry is an asset.
• Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
• No work experience in Canada required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Track, monitor, and reconcile real estate project costs against budgets, forecasts, and contracts, flagging variances and cost overruns.
• Develop business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, ROI, NPV and other relevant financial measures.
• Partner with Finance to develop annual real estate budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain executive-level real estate dashboards and KPIs.
• Partner with Accounting to ensure proper capitalization, accruals, invoice coding, and vendor payment tracking related to real estate projects.
• Establish consistent portfolio metrics and reporting standards.
• Develop presentations and briefing materials for senior leadership and governance committees.

Salary range (but not limited to):

74,800 - 91,400

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role
