Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing real estate finance team. You will track, reconcile costs against budgets, forecasts, and contracts, and flag variances to keep projects on track.

You will develop business cases, model ROI/NPV, support annual budgets and dashboards, and collaborate with Finance and Accounting to ensure proper capitalization and invoicing. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are required; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI or another business intelligence/reporting platform is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to cope with change effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple files at the same time.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Knowledge of the Auto & Home insurance industry (asset).
• Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
• Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
• No work experience in Canada required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Develop business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, ROI, NPV and other relevant financial measures.
• Partner with Finance to develop annual real estate budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain executive-level real estate dashboards and KPIs.
• Partner with Accounting to ensure proper capitalization, accruals, invoice coding, and vendor payment tracking related to real estate projects.
• Establish consistent portfolio metrics and reporting standards.
• Develop presentations and briefing materials for senior leadership and governance committees.

Salary range (but not limited to): 74,800 - 91,400

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance): 7.5%.

The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
