Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

This position is responsible for administering one of the largest student awards programs at the University of Alberta, with over $1.6 million in undergraduate awards that fund over 500 awards annually, and up to $80,000 in annual graduate awards. The incumbent liaises with Student Financial Services (SFS) in the Office of the Registrar to ensure there are nominations for all Faculty of Law undergraduate awards, and works with Law’s Assistant Dean, Development, to develop criteria for new awards that meet donor priorities and also align with Law priorities and award administration, contacting donors to request funds when appropriate.

The incumbent completes a comprehensive evaluation for all undergraduate students to assess eligibility for awards, incorporating students’ financial status and needs. This position provides financial advising to students that includes details on all sources and types of available funding. The incumbent also oversees awards events, working closely with other staff in Law to ensure the success of these events. The Financial Aid and Award Program Coordinator also works closely with the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, to administer graduate awards.
