Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role or 2 years in public accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Intermediate-level Excel skills.
• Experience with an ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure data accuracy.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including journal entries and accruals.
• Conduct analyses to explain variances and provide explanations to management.
• Support migration, implementation, and optimization of financial systems across platforms.
• Collaborate with entities across Canada for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Assist with budgeting and audit preparation.
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses as required.

Responsabilities

Job Description

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses to understand financial results and balance sheet accounts, explain variances compared to prior periods, and provide explanations to management.
• Play a key role in the migration, implementation, and optimization of financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and alignment across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate closely with entities across Canada to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Support the Director of Finance during the budgeting process.
• Perform variance analyses and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Support internal controls, accounting policies, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to requests from internal and external auditors.
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses and support as required.
