Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience in a publicly traded company.
  • CPA or ACCA in process or already designated.
  • Experience with reconciliation and financial analysis.

Financial Accountant

Join a dynamic team where you will play a pivotal role in managing financial close and reporting processes, including preparing consolidated statements of cash flows and supporting annual impairment analyses. This position offers the opportunity to work with a flagship publicly traded company, providing deep exposure to corporate finances and potential for career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare the consolidated statement of cash flows.
  • Support annual impairment analyses.
  • Prepare, upload, and circulate monthly and quarterly FX rates.
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Circulate corporate calendars, close timelines, and global reminders relating to the GL close.
  • Coordinate regional FL open/close schedules.
Essential Skills
  • Financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with reconciliation.
  • CPA or ACCA in process or already designated.
  • 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience within a publicly traded company.
  • Proficient in intercompany reconciliations and managing close processes.
  • Basic proficiency with pivot tables and V-lookups.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Experience with Oracle, Public Practice, MD&A, and SEDAR.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with US GAAP.
  • Experienced with statement of cash flows and impairment analysis.

Work Environment

Enjoy a hybrid work environment with three days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and two days remote. Work a standard 40-hour week from Monday to Friday with business casual attire.
