Job summary

Aviva Canada in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a Finance Workstream Coordination professional to lead cross‑functional delivery across Finance, Technology and Support teams. You will own the end‑to‑end oversight of Oracle Fusion Financials projects, liaising with Guidewire integrations and global stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant outcomes.

• Strong Oracle Fusion Financials experience focused on General Ledger, AP & AR.
• Experience supporting or delivering Finance Technology initiatives within insurance or financial services.
• Understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Experience with Guidewire or similar insurance platforms and their Finance integrations.
• Strong communication, relationship management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as central point of coordination across Finance, Technology and Support teams.
• Maintain a consolidated view of delivery plans, risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
• Ensure stakeholders understand priorities, timelines and delivery commitments.
• Review requirements and suggest design solutions.
• Identify delivery gaps and drive action to resolve them.
• Monitor Fusion jobs to prevent delays in Finance.
• Support governance, readiness and implementation activities.
• Coordinate delivery across local and global teams with consistent reporting.
• Implement configuration changes and custom SQL codes.
• Provide SME for Oracle Fusion Financials, focusing on GL.
• Support solution design, impact assessments and requirements analysis.
• Review changes to ensure Finance requirements and controls are addressed.
• Support testing, defect triage and production deployment.
• Act as a key contact between Finance partners, Fusion teams and support teams.
• Support initiatives impacting Insurance and Finance platforms.
• Understand end-to-end transactions flows from Guidewire to Oracle Fusion.
• Assess impacts across upstream systems, processes, and reporting.
• Collaborate with business and tech teams to ensure practical solutions.

Finance Workstream Coordination

• Act as the central point of coordination across Finance, Technology and Support teams.
• Maintain a consolidated view of delivery plans, risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
• Ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of priorities, timelines and delivery commitments.
• Review requirements and suggest design solutions.
• Identify delivery gaps and drive action to resolve them.
• Monitor Fusion jobs to ensure no failures causing delays for Finance.
• Support governance, readiness and implementation activities.
• Coordinate delivery across local and global teams and ensure progress is reported consistently.
• Implement config changes & custom SQL codes.

Oracle Fusion Finance Expertise

• Provide subject matter expertise for Oracle Fusion Financials, with particular focus on General Ledger.
• Support solution design, impact assessments and requirements analysis.
• Review proposed changes to ensure Finance requirements and controls are understood and addressed.
• Support testing, defect triage and production implementation activities.
• Act as a key point of contact between Finance partners, Fusion teams and support teams.

Insurance and Finance Systems Delivery

• Support delivery of initiatives impacting insurance and Finance platforms.
• Understand end to end transaction flows from Guidewire and associated insurance platforms through to Oracle Fusion.
• Assess impacts across upstream systems, Finance processes, accounting flows and reporting requirements.
• Work with business and technology teams to ensure solutions are practical, supportable and aligned with business objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build trusted relationships across Finance, Technology and Support teams.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops to drive decisions and resolve issues.
• Translate business requirements into technology outcomes.
• Translate technical concepts into clear business language.
• Ensure interested parties receive clear, concise and timely updates.

Essential Skills

• Strong Oracle Fusion Financials experience on General Ledger, AP & AR.
• Experience supporting or delivering Finance Technology initiatives within insurance or financial services organizations.
• Understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Experience working with Guidewire or similar insurance policy, billing or claims platforms and their Finance integrations.
• Strong communication, relationship management and collaborator engagement skills.
• Experience coordinating work across multiple business and technology teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to challenge, influence and drive actions to completion.

Desirable Skills

• Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS) experience.
• Experience supporting Finance integrations, accounting feeds and reporting platforms.
• Financial or regulatory reporting experience.
• Experience working across global teams and third-party suppliers.

What You’ll Get

• The salary band for this position ranges from $115,000 to $140,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
