Air Liquide is Hiring for a Finance Supervisor

This position is hybrid with a schedule of 3 days at the office and 2 days remote.

A CPA Certification is mandatory for this position.

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Supervisor to join our corporate finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is critical in supporting core financial operations, ensuring the integrity of our financial records, and driving continuous improvement in our finance processes. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can supervise transactional activities, own the corporate budget cycle, and serve as a vital link between the corporate office and our Business Service Center (BSC).

Financial Operations & Accounting
  • Supervise & Review: Oversee the work of the Accounting Agent(s) responsible for daily transactional activities including the critical cash reconciliation process for all retail stores.
  • Month-End Close: Actively participate in the monthly financial close process ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Balance Sheet Integrity: Review and approve monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to maintain the accuracy and compliance of our financial statements.
  • BSC Liaison: Act as one of the primary points of contact for the Business Service Center (BSC), managing requests, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring efficient workflow between corporate finance and the BSC.
Budgeting & Business Support
  • Budget Ownership: Own and manage the entire budget cycle for assigned corporate functions, including planning, forecasting, and tracking actual expenditures against budget.
  • Strategic Support: Provide focused finance support to the Real Estate Manager assisting with financial tracking, lease accounting, and the order-to-cash processes. Support the field with ad‑hoc manual billing.
Process Improvement & Tools
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement new processes, tools, and best practices to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency and control across the department.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
  • Certification: Possess a CPA designation.
  • Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken) to work with teams across Canada and the United States.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Organizational Scope: Previous experience working within a large decentralized or multi‑site organization.
  • Systems Knowledge: Direct experience with SAP S4 Hana.
  • Data Visualization: Experience utilizing a data visualization tool such as PowerBI for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Additional Languages: Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset.
