Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking a Senior Associate in Risk Assurance to support and lead aspects of Programme Management and Project Transformation within the Advisory Line of Service. You will engage with diverse teams to deliver governance, reporting, and strategic value across large programmes.

The role focuses on risk, control design, and executive-facing communications, with opportunities to influence outcomes and develop professional skills within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in Programme Management and Project Assurance of large Transformation projects.
• Proven experience supporting implementations of large complex system/transformation initiatives.
• Understanding of core project management process areas (IT governance, quality assurance, SDLC) and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design and implementation of programme governance and programme management strategies.
• Leading or supporting overall project finance management, developing forecasts, variance analysis and expense management; developing management and executive reporting.
• Assisting in rolling out leading practice programme management services like benefits realization, quality assurance, decision management, document management, etc.
• Working with and presenting to senior programme leadership within large scale programmes.
• Delivering and/or assessing large complex programs or projects.
• Supporting Managers with responses to client proposals and drive impactful conversations with senior client leaders.
• Act to resolve issues which prevent effective team working, even during times of change and uncertainty.
• Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Required Experience

• Significant hands on experience in Programme Management and Project Assurance of large Transformation projects
• Proven experience supporting implementations of large complex system/transformation initiatives
• Confident with implementing or performing project assessments, programme gateway reviews, risk-based reviews
• Certified Project Manager or in the process of obtaining (PMP, CAPM, APM BOK, PRINCE2, MSP,MoR, Agile, or Benefit Realization)
• Understanding of core project management process area (IT governance, quality assurance, or SDLC), project management software/tools, and/or ERP or industry specific applications
• Self-motivated to begin and continue tasks committed to achieving project goals
• Ability to effectively negotiate, problem solve, and influence through verbal and written communications
• Ability to present reports to and negotiate findings with senior stakeholders and executive management
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
