Alstom in Saint-Bruno is seeking a Finance Project Manager to drive the financial performance of high-visibility projects. You will partner with project management, engineering, and procurement to provide robust business cases, forecasts, and risk management.
The role requires 3–5 years of project experience, strong MS Excel skills, and knowledge of SAP or financial planning tools; fluency in French and English is a plus, CPA is an asset.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of high-visibility projects by providing insightful analysis and strategic advice to the project team. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the business (including project management, engineering, and procurement), optimize project financials, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of providing reliable business cases to support decision-making, but also lead financial forecasting and risk management processes.
We’ll look to you for:
Acting as a business partner to provide finance advice, guidance, and support to the core project team
Escalating risks and opportunities to increase management attention
Forecasting, challenging, and approving project financial KPIs such as cash flow, sales, and margins
Controlling project gross margins through detailed work package reviews
Communicating with project stakeholders to provide reliable business cases
Optimizing financial aspects of the project, including tax, hedging, and financing
Ensuring compliance with local regulations, especially for tax and statutory accounts purposes

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered)
3–5 years of relevant project experience, including long and complex project control
Experience in planning, project performance, project accounting, and internal controls
Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of SAP and/or financial planning tools
Fluency in other languages is a plus
CPA certification is an asset
