Job Description
Department Overview

The Transaction Banking & Payments Finance team supports strategic decision-making by delivering high-quality financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across the business. Transaction Banking provides cash management, payments, trade finance, and treasury solutions to TD's corporate and commercial clients.

Role

The Manager, Transaction Banking & Payments, Finance is responsible for leading the financial performance management of Transaction Banking. The role focuses on forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and delivering analytical insights that help guide business strategy. The successful candidate will partner closely with Finance, Product, Originations, Transformation Office, and leadership teams to provide value-added analysis, streamline processes, and enhance reporting capabilities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Building out and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A cycles, including forecasts, plan, budgets, and reporting for Transaction Banking.
  • Prepare and oversee management reporting, dashboards, and executive-level presentations with clear, concise commentary.
  • Partner with Transaction Banking & Value Creation Plan stakeholders to assess financial implications of new products, pricing initiatives, and investment decisions.
  • Key contributor to continuous improvement initiatives, including reporting optimization, data quality enhancements, and process efficiencies, working closely with other members of the team.
  • Work to maximize value by conducting business and/or financial analysis to support key business decisions and the achievement of business partner objectives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Transaction Banking & Payments Finance area, supporting and provide guidance/ advice and recommendations to support dealings with internal / external partners across the Bank.
  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations from a finance lens.
  • Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences and leveraging best practices.
Skills, Education & Experience
  • Knowledge of the Bank's financial reporting systems (e.g. Hyperion, FRS, PSGL, Oracle, Clarity), MS Office, required.
  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or corporate finance, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity
  • Expertise working effectively in teams
  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging the status quo
  • Knowledge in business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx) an asset
  • Undergraduate degree required; Post Graduate degree would be an asset.
  • Professional designation (MBA, CFA, or CPA) would be an asset.

This role provides exposure to senior business leaders, cross-functional partners, and key strategic initiatives within GTB. The successful candidate will contribute to a high-performing team focused on delivering value-added insights and supporting a strong control and reporting environment.

Work Activities

Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week effective 3 Nov, 2025. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
