Job Title: Collections Manager (6-Month Contract - Maternity Leave Coverage)

Location: Hybrid (2 days/week in office)

Duration: 6 months

Job Summary: We are looking for a hands‑on Collections Manager to cover a maternity leave for a 6-month contract. This role is focused on people management, daily oversight, and ensuring timely collections and cash application activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented and thrives in a role where proactive follow‑up and team accountability are key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 10 cash applicators and credit collectors, ensuring daily tasks are completed and collections are on track.
  • Oversee and track collection activities, follow‑ups, write‑offs, and escalations.
  • Maintain and review daily checklists to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
  • Monitor and forecast incoming cash based on collection performance.
  • Review and support journal entries related to cash application.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and timelines.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to leadership on collection status and forecast variances.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in collections, cash application, and people management.
  • Strong understanding of journal entries and accounting processes related to cash flow.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with a hands‑on, detail‑oriented management approach.
