Job summary

Andersen Canada Services Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations in Calgary. You will oversee the general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, billing, tax compliance, budgeting, and process improvements while mentoring the finance team.

This hands-on role requires deep knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax rules, strong leadership, and the ability to partner with management to drive reliable financial information.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, billing, WIP, AR, and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax requirements, including GST/HST and PST.
• Experience with budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, revenue, WIP, AR, AP, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and supporting working papers.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed.
• Coordinate information required for year-end accounting, tax, audit, and other external requirements.
