A leading healthcare AI company in Toronto is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee full-cycle accounting and financial planning. You will collaborate closely with the CFO while managing tasks such as budgeting, reporting, and strategic financial analysis. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 3 years of experience, and a passion for improving healthcare through innovative solutions. This role offers hybrid work options and a chance to make a meaningful impact in the industry.
At Tali, we’re tackling one of healthcare’s most pressing challenges: the administrative burden that overwhelms clinicians and compromises patient care. Our AI-powered medical scribe is already transforming the industry, serving thousands of clinicians across Canada and the US. By accelerating millions of patient encounters annually, we save each clinician over 10 hours a week - adding up to 27 years of clinicians’ time returned to the healthcare system every year.
Backed by a team with decades of experience from world-class companies like Amazon, Stripe, and Shopify, we’re building a product that solves critical, real-world problems for clinicians today while laying the foundation for a more efficient and patient-centered healthcare system. Our customers trust our technology to deliver accurate, secure documentation, empowering them to focus on what matters most: exceptional patient care.
Your work will directly impact the Tali employment experience, enabling our team to improve the lives of clinicians and patients, while reshaping the future of healthcare.
We’re building a world-class product with cutting‑edge technology, from full‑stack development to ML, infrastructure, and security.
As an early‑stage startup, every team member has the opportunity to shape our technology, culture, and future. Whether you’re a generalist who thrives on variety or a specialist eager to build entire systems from the ground up, your contributions will be pivotal.
Engineer systems that handle highly sensitive medical data with precision and care, knowing your work directly impacts the trust and safety of clinicians and patients.
Collaborate with a talented, driven team that values innovation, humility, and a relentless focus on solving hard problems.
You are a rising accounting professional with a keen eye for detail and analytics, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a desire to learn and grow. You will report to the CFO and manage the day‑to‑day responsibilities of our accounting function.
As a Finance Manager, you are an integral part of the full accounting cycle while supporting billing and payroll functions and budgeting. You will be a subject matter expert in full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting, and will support critical projects that will have a long‑term impact on the company’s success. You will have opportunities to expand your SaaS finance knowledge by working with the CFO on monthly P&L and KPI variance analysis and annual budgeting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth SaaS environment, has strong business acumen and is eager to build compliant, scalable accounting processes while developing their financial, planning and analysis skills.
We want to give you an idea of the tools and platforms we use in finance to drive our success. Don’t sweat the gaps, these tools can be trained: Quickbooks, Float, RBC Express, Wise (accounting) HubSpot (CRM) Slack (communication) Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), MixPanel (data), Linear (tracking, project management).
We’re looking for someone who shares a passion for working smarter and can help take Tali to the next level. You will succeed in this role if you are curious about understanding goals and constraints and solving for how we can work smarter. You thrive working in a fast moving environment which operates with urgency, but you also embrace collaboration and communication in your centralized role because you understand the importance of bringing people along for the journey.
