The Finance Manager is a key financial leader responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, and operational performance. This hybrid role provides both financial leadership and operational insights, supporting strategic decision‑making including mergers and acquisitions across our brokerages and driving continuous improvements and optimization. Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning
- Lead all aspects of financial management, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Partner with regional leaders to support strategic planning and decision‑making across the organization.
- Analyze financial data to deliver proactive insights, strategic recommendations, and forward‑looking analysis to senior management driving business growth, enhancing both traditional and digital brokerage performance, and promoting operational excellence.
Financial Reporting and Oversight
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Brokerage Controller to ensure timely delivery of consistent financial reporting and variance analysis and budget development. Serve as the communication bridge to senior leadership, translating financial insights into an executive‑level narrative that highlights key trends, risk and opportunities that support strategic decision‑making.
- Provide recommendations for revenue optimization and cost savings, ensuring a proactive and strategic financial posture.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
People Leadership and Team Development
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team of finance professionals, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.
- Set clear goals, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Promote collaboration, engagement, and accountability across geographically distributed teams.
Key Qualifications
- CPA designation required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior accountant or financial business partner capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial operations, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven experience in process automation, digital transformation, and leveraging financial technologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working in multi‑entity, national, or shared services environments is preferred.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
