Finance Manager Opportunity - Innisfil, ON (Office Based Role)

Compensation Package: $85,000 - $90,000 + $5,000 annual bonus + 3 weeks’ vacation + health benefits package + onsite parking

Summary

The Finance Manager directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analysis of operations, including monthly and yearend financial reports. Responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its day-to-day relationships with lending institutions, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of supporting schedules to facilitate the year-end financial statements.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain the company's system of accounts and oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial reporting, and financial forecasts.
• Implement and maintain appropriate procedures, controls and processes for the inventory count, finance, and accounting functions.
• Responsible for compliance with all federal, provincial, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes
• Responsible for the annual financial audit / review, by preparing working papers, account reconciliations and other required documentation / analyses.
• Support senior management team by assisting in evaluation of various projects and initiatives and ensuring that decisions are based on sound financial justification.
• Hiring, training, and retaining finance staff
• Overseeing insurance and risk management
• Assisting with business funding decisions

Requirements:

• BA / BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major
• 5+ years of experience in accounting / financial management
• Excellent computer skills, advanced Excel a must, Great Plains experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail
• Sound business judgment and ability to prioritize and multitask.
