Working closely with ownership and senior leadership, you will bring financial clarity to key business priorities, identify opportunities to strengthen performance, and help improve the processes and systems that support the organization. Alongside overseeing core accounting functions, you will have the opportunity to contribute to planning, profitability, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is well suited to someone who is analytical, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a hands‑on environment where collaboration and sound business judgment are valued.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Act as a trusted financial partner to ownership and senior leadership, providing insight into business performance and operational priorities.
  • Translate financial data into practical recommendations that support strategic planning and informed decision‑making.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and management reporting to improve visibility across the business.
  • Contribute to growth planning, business initiatives, and special projects through financial analysis and evaluation.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
  • Lead the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and ongoing performance projections.
  • Evaluate financial results against expectations, identifying underlying drivers, emerging trends, and areas requiring attention.

  • Conduct profitability and margin analysis across products, customers, and business segments to support pricing and commercial decisions.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend strategies to improve business results.
Cash Flow & Working Capital
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to support both immediate operating needs and longer‑term objectives.
  • Monitor working capital and identify opportunities to improve cash utilization and financial efficiency.
  • Support banking relationships, financing requirements, and related financial activities.
  • Provide leadership with clear visibility into future cash requirements and potential funding needs.
Inventory & Operational Finance
  • Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and warehouse teams to strengthen financial oversight of inventory and related activities.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, turnover, purchasing patterns, and stock levels to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess landed costs, freight, duties, and foreign exchange fluctuations and their impact on product costs and margins.
  • Support pricing strategies and product‑level profitability assessments.
  • Improve inventory‑related financial reporting and contribute to more effective planning and control processes.
Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of monthly financial statements and reporting.
  • Coordinate year‑end processes and work with external accountants and other professional advisors as required.
  • Maintain effective internal controls, sound accounting practices, and reliable financial procedures.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies while ensuring financial information remains accurate and useful to the business.
Systems, Technology & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes through automation, AI‑enabled solutions, and emerging technologies.
  • Support the ongoing development and optimization of financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Lead improvements that reduce manual work, increase efficiency, and enhance access to reliable business information.
  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset across financial processes and cross‑functional workflows.
Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA designation preferred; candidates with relevant experience and a strong combination of financial and business expertise will also be considered.
