Job summary

Magna Cosma International is seeking a Finance Co-Op Student in Milton, Canada. Primary duties include providing accounting and clerical support to the Finance Department, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

The role requires Grade 12 education or GED with accounting coursework; strong MS Office skills are essential. The candidate will work under the guidance of AR/AP accountants and contribute to safe, efficient office operations.

• Assists Accounts Receivable Accountant to prepare manual invoices, apply cash and lockbox payments, prepare cash deposits and filing as required.
• Assists Accounts Payable Accountants in coding and entering supplier invoices, matching documents to payments and filing.
• Maintain confidentiality of appropriate information and perform duties in an environmentally responsible manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Finance Co‑Op Student is primarily responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the Finance Department.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 Education or GED Community College Diploma in Business Administration‑Accounting

COMPENSATION:

$23.27 per hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies and the O.H.S.A. Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies. Assists Accounts Receivable Accountant to prepare manual invoices, applying cash and lockbox payments received, preparation of cash deposits and filing where required. Assists Accounts Payable Accountants in coding and entering of supplier invoices received, matching of supporting documents to various forms of customer payments and filing where required. Maintain confidentiality of appropriate information. Perform all duties in an environmentally responsible manner Perform other duties as required.
