Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles; interest in cost accounting and manufacturing finance is an asset.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy; comfortable with large data sets.
• Good Excel skills and comfort with formulas and data analysis.
• Good knowledge on PowerBI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in financial data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records in accounting software or spreadsheets.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform financial analysis, including variance, trend and ratio analysis to assess performance and identify improvements.
• Help with budgeting and forecasting by gathering data, updating models, and preparing reports for budget meetings.
• Assist in preparing, maintaining, validating, and updating standard costing information, including annual roll and periodic updates.
• Support inventory-related activities, including physical counts, reconciliations, and cost variances analysis.
