A nonprofit arts organization in London, Ontario is seeking a Finance Associate to handle the weekly payroll cycle and accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a not-for-profit setting. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines. A solid understanding of payroll systems and technology is essential. This full-time position offers a salary between $50,000-$55,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

As a vibrant cultural hub and not-for-profit professional theatre, the Grand serves to gather, inspire, and entertain audiences in London and beyond. At our home in downtown London, we create productions on two stages: the Spriet Stage (839 seats) and the Auburn Developments Stage (144 seats). The Grand season of theatrical offerings runs from September to May. The Grand is committed to developing and premiering new, original works and supporting the growth and reach of theatre writers and creators.
A cornerstone of the organization is our place as a teaching theatre, exemplified in our many mentorship programs and highlighted in our annual Grand Theatre High School Project. As the only program of its kind in the country and currently in its twenty‑sixth year, the High School Project involves as many as one hundred high school participants annually from schools across the region. These students participate at no cost and take on roles both on stage and off, in a fully realized mainstage production under the direction of a professional creative team.

The Grand is seeking a hands‑on, deadline‑driven Finance Associate. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, the Finance Associate is responsible for the weekly payroll cycle, journal entries, and accounts payable related to payroll activities. The Finance Associate plays an integral part in the input, processing, and maintenance of the theatre’s accounting records, payroll processing, and group benefits administration.
The Finance Associate is a self‑motivated, meticulous teammate who lives and breathes finance, and payroll. This individual is interested in understanding how the finance function integrates with the organization and its overall impact. This position requires someone who can manage priorities, work well under tight payroll deadlines, all while having a high level of attention to detail. The candidate will excel at internal customer service, supporting the work of the theatre in all areas.
