Job Description

Department Overview: TD OneFinance, Governance, Risk and Control (GRC or 1B) supports OneFinance partners to identify, understand, manage and mitigate risks in operations and financial reporting, through training, monitoring, testing and provision of risk‑management advice, insights and reporting. The GRC team also oversees policies and standards governing financial reporting activities to mitigate financial reporting risk and fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, and community giving.

As a Manager, GRC, you will provide strategic guidance and oversight of Finance’s risk management programs and controls, including financial reporting controls, through training, monitoring, testing and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee testing and reporting of Finance’s key risk programs, including operational risk oversight, insights and reporting.
  • Lead development of Finance‑tailored communication and training relating to risk programs (e.g., EUC Governance, Model Risk Management, Risk and Control Self‑Assessment and Financial Reporting Controls).
  • Identify and consider interdependencies across risk programs, remediation plans and controls.
  • Review key risk indicators, develop insights and produce related reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with the Financial Reporting Control Policy and its reporting requirements.
  • Lead management and update of the OneFinance GRC Mandate, Standards, Policies, and Procedures as required.
  • Provide expert advice to OneFinance and stakeholders on effective control considerations.
  • Ensure stakeholders are aware of relevant policy and guideline requirements and oversee compliance monitoring.
  • Partner with other teams and lines of defense to oversee design and effectiveness of controls and compliance assessments or testing.
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness, accountability, ethics, integrity, and conduct.
  • Enable proactive, data‑driven, risk‑based decision making and approaches.
