Overview

Paracel Laboratories Ltd. is a full-service environmental and Indoor Air Quality laboratory. Our main laboratory facilities are located in Ottawa and are supported by an environmental lab in Hamilton and microbiology and asbestos laboratories in Mississauga. Additional service depots are located in Kingston, London, Niagara, Windsor, and Richmond Hill. We support a broad spectrum of projects for professional clients from across Canada. Our client base primarily consists of major environmental consultants, all levels of government and industrial manufacturers located predominantly in Ottawa, Toronto, Niagara, Eastern and Southwestern Ontario.

The Opportunity

Paracel Laboratories Ltd. is actively searching for a Finance Administrator to join our team. This is a Full-Time, Permanent role at 2315, St Laurent Blvd., Ottawa, Ontario, K1G 4J8.

Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Finance Administrator will play a critical role in supporting the Finance team, owning responsibility for AP and AR functions. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, driven to meet deadlines and has advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities
  • Post transactions and provide analytical and clerical support for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, HR and Payroll
  • Perform bank account and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare client statements for Account Managers in support of client collections
  • Record employee\'s banked hours and expense reports
  • Prepare EHT and WSIB calculations
Qualifications
  • Formal post-secondary training in accounting
  • 3-5 years related experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Accounting
  • Experience with and knowledge of accounting software, MS Windows, MS Word, Internet
  • Demonstrated proficiency at MS Excel functions: Subtotal, Vlookup, Pivot Table, SUMIF and formatting
  • Any experience with large multi-module cloud accounting systems (especially Dynamics NAV/ MS D365 Business Central) will be considered a great asset
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional team and workflow management skills
  • Superb attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly reliable and deadline-driven
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Strong analytical, data management and problem-solving skills
