Job summary

Convergint Technologies Ltd is seeking a Building Operator for the Suncor Firebag In-Situ site in Fort McMurray. This FIFO role requires a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate and ABSA registration, plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in building operations.

You will support HVAC/plumbing systems, perform daily walkthroughs, coordinate with site staff, and report via SAP while adhering to safety policies and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Must hold 4th Class Power Engineering certification and ABSA registration.
• Minimum 5 years of building operator experience.
• Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building walkthroughs and address deficiencies.
• Coordinate with operations staff and client supervisor.
• Operate and maintain HVAC and utility systems; isolate components as needed.
• Document work in SAP and update logs.
• Participate in night shift rotation and safety meetings.
