Responsibilities

• Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment.
• Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment.
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Repair cable signals and test equipment to locate faults.
• Climb and work aloft on poles or structures.
• Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets.
• Install cable modems and software for Internet access.
• Repair or replace faulty cables, power supplies and amplifiers.
• Splice and join wires.
• Repair or replace defective telephone equipment.
