Job summary

AGAT Laboratories is seeking a field sampling professional to support hydrocarbon sampling programs across North America. The role involves hands-on field work, booking field jobs, and completing related paperwork.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or technical training, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel. Training in safety competencies will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communications.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
• Ability and eagerness to learn new sampling protocols.
• Valid driver’s license and clean record required.
• H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, PST, CSTS training a plus; training provided for right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Hydrocarbon field sampling (oil/condensate, natural gas, water, emulsion).
• Participate in on-call schedule; schedule can vary by time of year and jobs.
• Field sampling jobs may require out of town stays for short periods.
• Book field jobs and complete required paperwork.
• Travel will be required on a daily basis.
• Field work accounts for approximately 90% of the job.

What You Bring To The Table

• High school diploma/relevant technical training
• Knowledge of oilfield operations
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Mechanical aptitude, experience with a variety of hand tools
• Ability and eagerness to learn new skills and sampling protocols
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driver abstract are required
• H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, PST, CSTS would be considered assets
• All training will be provided for the right candidate
