A defense contractor in Wainwright, Alberta is seeking a Field Services Representative to provide instruction and technical support for military vehicle systems. Ideal candidates will have significant military experience and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment during operations. Bilingual capabilities in English and French are preferred. This role involves physical tasks and the possibility of regular travel during military training.
The Field Services Representative (FSR) performs a variety of tasks depending on the current operational requirements. These tasks include, but are not limited to: install and remove electronic simulations components on military vehicles (Tanks, Armoured Combat Vehicles, and various utility vehicles) with Weapon Effects Systems (WES) equipment, fault finding and troubleshooting of all issued CWES soldier worn and vehicle equipment, and operating a computer to maintain records and schedules. Deliver instruction on all WES soldier worn items and WES Vehicle kits.
High school degree or equivalent plus a minimum of eight years military experience to include five years previous combat arms experience. Must have valid driver's license. Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical ability to walk, stand and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb stairs is required. Requires the ability to lift 75 pounds. Requires bending, reaching, and fitting into tight places to perform normal duties. Available to travel nationally on a regular basis during military training periods as well as possibility of international travel. Bi-lingual capability preferred (Eng/Fr).
