Job summary

A global industrial gases company in Toronto is seeking a Customer Service Technician responsible for the installation and maintenance of bulk gas supply systems. Candidates should have post-secondary education in a related discipline and 3-5 years of experience with atmospheric/cryogenic gases. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. The role requires managing contractors and working outdoors, with flexible hours including after-hours service calls.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience working with atmospheric/cryogenic gases and related equipment is considered an asset.
  • Must be available for after-hours service calls and overtime as required.
  • Physically able to perform work in a predominantly outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain bulk gas supply systems.
  • Work on small on-site plants, food freezing equipment and piping installation.
  • Manage contractors and coordinate project objectives.

Skills

Knowledge of pipe and gas fitting
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
Basic knowledge of cryogenic equipment
Demonstrated welding and brazing skills
Ability to troubleshoot electronic and computer operated controls and instrumentation
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and job-related communication skills

Education

Post-Secondary education in a related discipline (C.E.T.)
Journeyman status in Electrical, Instrumentation, Refrigeration, Welding or other related trade
