Job summary

A leading technical service provider is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide technical service and support at customer sites across Canada. The technician will troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues, install network infrastructure, and maintain a safe work environment. Candidates should have a university degree in information technology, relevant certifications, and 3-5 years of IT field service experience.

Qualifications

  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean abstract.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in IT field services required.
  • Experience with POS systems is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform connectivity and hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Install and terminate various types of network infrastructure equipment.
  • Prepare field reports and liaise with Help Desk on escalated issues.

Skills

CompTIA A+ Certification
Troubleshooting hardware and network related issues
Proficient computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently

Education

Minimum university degree in information technology

Tools

Remote management software
Network equipment (routers, switches, etc.)
