Job summary

This role involves the inspection, testing, diagnosis, and repair of heavy-duty mining equipment, emphasizing customer relations. Job Title

Customer Field Service Technician at Epiroc.

The Field Technician participates in the inspection, testing, diagnosis, and repair of heavy‑duty mining equipment by using critical thinking skills, strategies and by applying fundamental knowledge of heavy‑duty equipment operations, components and their interrelationships while working with safety as a top priority. Field Technicians also engage in the development and application of strengthening and maintaining customer relationships and satisfaction.

Shift Timings

Rotational shifts – 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off (day and night shifts)

Responsibilities
  • Perform equipment service, troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Work on surface and underground Epiroc equipment.
  • Conduct machine audits/inspections as required.
  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Develop and maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Daily time entry and technical reporting as required.
  • Daily shift reports.
  • Participate in company training opportunities.
  • Work within and promote a supportive and innovative team culture.
  • Work includes travel to multiple sites and flexible hours including some weekend work.
  • Some travel out of province may be required.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other relevant tasks and duties as assigned by the manager.
Experience
  • Minimum two to three (2-3) years of related experience within the mining industry is preferred.
Knowledge / Education / Licence
  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certificate/License.
  • Possess a valid vehicle driver’s license.

Expected Compensation Range

CAD 42.69 per hour – CAD 54.52 per hour, based on salary, potential/historic bonuses for position, and any other wage compensation.
