Job summary

A leading oilfield services company in Alberta is seeking a Field Service Specialist to install and maintain Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP). This role requires strong problem-solving skills, previous ESP experience, and a commitment to safety. The position involves frequent travel and working outdoor in various weather conditions. Candidates must have a High School diploma, with a preference for those with a related Technologist diploma. A competitive compensation package is offered, along with a unique 16 days ON / 5 days OFF schedule.

As an ESP Field Service Specialist, you are to perform installation of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) based out of our Leduc, AB facility. You are to assist in maximizing well productivity and ESP run life. Responsibilities

  • Performing installation/pulling of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and associated equipment.
  • Assisting and managing of ESP equipment in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
  • Operating equipment in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintaining assigned equipment, performing daily inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements.
  • Reporting all operational deficiencies to Supervisor and maintenance personnel.
  • Performing equipment inspection and maintenance as requested and completing paperwork.
  • Assisting in performing basic troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Practicing safe driving procedures when traveling to and from locations.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health Safety and Environmental policies, and Legal Compliance requirements.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Have previous Electrical Submersible Pump experience and/or mechanical or electrical background.
  • Provide acceptable driver's abstract.
  • Possess general knowledge of machines, tools, and banding materials, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and be physically fit.
  • Have customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and team working skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Petroleum, Mechanical, or Electrical Technologist diploma.
  • 2 years minimum ESP technical related background.
  • Basic computer skills.

Additional Information

The position involves frequent travel on domestic assignments and time away from home, often at short notice as well as work outdoors in all weather conditions.
