Job summary

Julepower is seeking a hands-on Field Service Representative to install, calibrate, and maintain advanced inspection and gas monitoring systems across Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

The role requires electrical troubleshooting acumen, hardware maintenance, and frequent customer interaction. The ideal candidate will travel 60%+ (including evenings and weekends) and have 3+ years in field service with an-electrical/mechatronics background.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on field service experience in electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Technology.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and follow safety procedures.
• Proficiency with multimeters, soldering, and wiring small components.
• Valid G driver's license; forklift license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain inspection and gas monitoring systems.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical components such as PLCs, sensors, and drives.
• Conduct FAT and SAT at client sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults using standard tools.
• Read electrical schematics and manuals; update service documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure safety compliance.
• Support inventory and parts tracking; assist with RMA documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams for improvements.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, travel-ready Field Service Representative to install, calibrate, and maintain advanced inspection and gas monitoring systems across Canada, U.S and Mexico.

The ideal candidate combines electrical troubleshooting skills with mechanical aptitude, values precision, and enjoys working directly with customers and engineering teams, who is willing and able to travel 60%+ inclusive of evenings, weekends, holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and serviceinspection and gas monitoring systems(Analygas / NDT).
• Performinstallation, calibration, and maintenanceof electrical components such asPLCs, sensors, and drives.
• ConductFAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)andSAT (Site Acceptance Testing)at client sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults using tools such asmultimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering equipment.
• Read and interpretelectrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Performpreventive maintenanceand update service documentation accurately.
• Ensuresafety complianceand maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Supportinventory and parts tracking; assist with RMA documentation when needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support product improvements.

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to travel to the U.S. without visa restrictions (citizen or PR with valid documents).
• Assignments may include weekends, evenings, statutory holidays, and extended periods away from home.
• Global travel predominately inU.S, Mexico, and Canada.
• Travel duration can be anywhere from3-4 daysto2-3 weeksdepending on the scope of work.
• Frequency projected to be60%or higher.
• Although reasonable advance notice will be provided whenever possible, urgent customer or project requirements may result in travel being arranged with limited notice.
• Most assignments involveindependent travel. A travel partner or team may be assigned for certain projects based on the work, destination, safety requirements, and operational needs.
• The employee must be able to work effectively with limited direct supervision while travelling and communicate promptly regarding safety, scheduling, technical, or project concerns.
• Work at customer, construction, commissioning, or deployment sites may require approximately8–12 hoursper dayduring critical project periods, subject to applicable employment standards, required rest periods, and company policies.
• International assignments may include destinations experiencing political instability, civil unrest, heightened security concerns, or proximity to areas affected by conflict.
• All international assignments will be evaluated through the company’s travel-risk and security process. Travel will be planned with reference to Government of Canada advisories, applicable laws, insurance coverage, employee safety, and required accommodations.
• The employee must be legally able to enter assigned destinations and maintain a valid passport. Depending on the destination, visas, vaccinations, security briefings, site-specific training, medical clearance, or other documentation may be required.

The company will arrange or reimburse approved business-travel expenses in accordance with its travel and expense policy.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ yearsof hands-on experience infield service, electrical, or electromechanical systems.
• Post-secondaryDiploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Technology.
• Strong ability toread and interpret electrical schematicsand follow safety procedures.
