Summary

Reporting to the Asset Management Technical Lead, the Field Service Representative – Technical Services, can be assigned responsible for any part or all the technical aspects of a company owned assets from aircraft acquisition through to aircraft sales and delivery. The Field Service Representative – Technical Services will support Sales and Operations by maintaining a complete understanding of the aircraft maintenance status, configuration, and current utilization so the executive team can make informed decisions about the asset.

The primary aircraft types supported in this role are Dash 8 Classic and Dash 8 Q400. However, support may also be required as needed for DHC-6 Twin Otter and CL-215/CL-215T/CL-415 Waterbomber fleets.

LOCATION

This is an on-site role located in Calgary, Alberta. The role will require travel, including international travel, as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the company owned assets ensuring that all the technical aspects are in compliance with Canadian Airworthiness Regulations (CARs).
  • Support aircraft acquisitions from a technical perspective ensuring that the asset meets CARs and business requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact in promptly processing and fulfilling on a priority basis customers’, operator, maintainers, and staff requests for technical support and STC’s.
  • Support company assets transition to customers ensuring a great level of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries about company assets in a timely and professional manner.Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure aircraft readiness to meet company requirements.
  • Liaise with Sales and final customer to determine aircraft final configuration.
  • Support customer inspection during final delivery and acceptance of aircraft.
  • Provide in-depth operational and technical insight into Continuing Air Worthiness (CAW), Quality Control, and Certification Engineering.
  • Review Service Bulletins, Technical Bulletins, and other technical documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Register and coordinate the request and delivery of engineering/technical support services such as REOs, CSILs, and requests for technical data.
  • Provide input to assist the assessment of warranty claims.
  • Understand metrics that measure key performance parameters.
  • Strive to achieve world‑class levels of customer service in every interaction our clients have with the company.
Qualifications & Experience
  • AME Transport Canada License, Aviation related Degree/Diploma or Engineering Degree; AME or Aerospace Engineering education is an asset
  • Minimum 7 years Civil Aircraft Maintenance Experience in an AMO environment
  • AME license. AME M license is an asset
  • Experience with customer support and customer interactions
  • Broad technical experience is an asset, including structures, powerplants, and systems
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Civil Aviation Authority regulations
  • Must have experience with interpreting and executing contracts
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project within a Windows environment
  • Experience with De Havilland aircraft (DHC-8, DHC-6, CL series) will be considered an asset
